How much does it cost to print A1 plans?
Printing an A1 plan costs £4.95 per sheet in colour, plus VAT. For example, a set of 10 A1 drawings costs £49.50 + VAT. See the full price list.
How is the price of plan printing worked out?
You pay per printed sheet. The price depends on the paper size, multiplied by the number of pages in your PDF and the number of copies. VAT at 20% and any delivery charge are added at checkout. The basket shows the exact price before you pay.
What file format do my plans need to be in?
Plans must be uploaded as PDF files. Export your drawings to PDF from your CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp and others all support this), setting the PDF page size to the paper size you want printed. Each file can be up to 100 MB, and you can upload up to 20 files at once.
Can you print DWG or other CAD files?
No, we only accept PDFs. Printing from a PDF guarantees the plan prints exactly as you saw it, with the right line weights, layers and scale. Use “Plot” or “Export to PDF” in your CAD software and choose the paper size you want, for example ISO full bleed A1 (841 × 594 mm).
Will my plans be printed to scale?
Yes, as long as the PDF page size matches the paper size you order. If your drawing is set up at 1:100 on an A1 page and you order A1, it prints at 1:100. If you order a smaller size, the drawing is reduced: an A1 drawing printed on A3 is half size, so 1:100 becomes 1:200. If a page size does not match your chosen paper, add a note to that plan and we will contact you before printing. See our paper size guide.
How many pages will I be charged for?
We count the pages in each PDF automatically when you upload it and show the count in your basket. Each page is one printed sheet. If the count looks wrong, add a note to that plan and we will check it with you before printing.
How quickly will my plans be printed?
Orders paid by 3:00pm on a working day are printed the same day; later orders are printed the next working day.
Can you deliver my plans?
Yes. Choose from: Courier (Rolled) – £6.95 + VAT; Courier (Folded) – £6.95 + VAT.
What paper do you print on?
Plans are printed on 90gsm paper, suitable for site use, mark-up and submissions. The paper weight for each size is shown in our price list.
Do I need an account to order?
Yes, a free account. It takes under a minute to create and lets you upload plans, track your orders and see past orders.
Are my drawings kept confidential?
Yes. Uploaded files are stored privately and can only be opened by you and our print team. They are never published or shared, and the website is not able to serve them to anyone else.

Other questions
What size is A1 paper?
A1 paper is 594 × 841 mm (59.4 × 84.1 cm, or 23.4 × 33.1 inches). It is the most common sheet size for architectural and engineering drawings in the UK.
What size is A0 paper?
A0 paper is 841 × 1189 mm (84.1 × 118.9 cm, or 33.1 × 46.8 inches) and has an area of exactly one square metre. Every other A size is derived by halving it.
What happens to the scale if I print an A1 drawing on A3?
An A1 drawing printed on A3 is reduced to exactly 50%, so a drawing at 1:100 becomes 1:200 and one at 1:50 becomes 1:100. Printing A1 on A2 reduces it to about 71%, which is not a standard scale.
Can I order several copies or sets of the same drawings?
Yes. Set the number of copies for each plan in your basket, from 1 to 500. Each extra copy of the same plan costs less than the first, for example A1 is £4.95 a sheet for the first copy and £4.45 for each extra copy. You can also choose a different paper size for each plan in the same order.
Can I cancel or change an order?
You can change or remove plans freely while they are in your basket, and cancel an order that has not yet been paid. Once an order is paid it goes straight into our print queue, so please contact us as soon as possible if something needs to change.
